Bose *****!
You spend so much time saying the speakers are not worth it due to the price. You barely go into why the sound doesn’t live up to expectations. You say you’re an “audioholic” but don’t say anything to show you know what you’re talking about. If you compared them to other good speakers or how they sounded in different type of musical styles, then you’d show that you actually knew something. This was a really bad review. I didn’t learn anything. Phhht!

Bose is great for Mr.EveryOneWithTooMuchMoney, but certainly not for Mr.Audiophile or Mr.Budget. I tried Razer Mako speakers and these Bose Companion 5 speakers.
The Razer Mako sounds better to me, also better immersion. Oh and here Companion 5 is 399 EUR and Mako is 160 EUR. Ok the bass is deeper with Bose speakers, but that’s it!! On Mako the highs are way cleaner and bass is precise.

@DudeThatAwesome Is that your all argument ? Those high-end companies use Bose because Bose is well known for producing bass-friendly speakers. And everyone loves bass. This discussion is similar to the comparison of Shure vs Skullcandy earphones.

@DudeThatAwesome It’s like beats by dre, they are popular and have a name, that’s the only reason car manufacturers put them in (besides it obviously sounds better then the default audio system in the car)… Bose is good, but it’s not the best by any means with the price they have. I’ve tried all the top priced headphones of bose and they aren’t really that great for what you pay for.

@philtrapp i have harman kardon and bose car speakers and i think harman kardon’s sound is a bit better and woofer for some songs but the bose woofer is better overall
