OTH2.Net - Reviewing your favorite games and tech since 1999!
@Megabine HCBailly?
@redbuck82 You know it
“I see your Facebook status is trapped in a dungeon” ROFL
are both games on 1 umd?
Why couldn’t they just make polygon backgrounds instead of the classic 2D backgrounds?
best remake of the ys series came out for the PS2 in japan..!
hehe adventurers looking for action…Your reviews are my favorite. Especially the PSP game ones,
I recently picked this up and I love it. My only issues are 1. No Map of the world. 2. No real quest direction to guide you a long the way. Sure there is some but I found myself at time wondering what to do. Still its a fun game to play and enjoy it enough. A must try for anyone interested in the Y’s games.
They could at least fix the combat and give us an attack button.
I’m sorry, it’s just downright bad, Zelda did it right in 1986.
Besides, the reason they chose this combat back then was because most systems only had two face buttons, so they wanted two buttons to use two items at the same time, but now we have like 10 buttons.
@DavetzWin The remake on the DS did the whole button thing and I know how it ended up. Horrible. Shitty detection, makes the game much less fluid since you have to stop to attack and so on, so on. More so than the button limitation, the bump system used in Ys 1 & 2 back at that time made sure the game would be fast paced and fluid, two characteristics which are present in pretty much every Ys game.
To each his own, of course, but I’d rather play the original Ys 1 & 2 than the original Zelda.
what’s up with the guys voice?
I’ve just picked this up on PSN where it’s only just come out here in Europe (no UMD release for us I’m afraid). I loved the first game on the Master System and I’m glad to see that they ironed out a lot of problems for the remake.
In fact, I loved it so much, I’ve now ordered an import version of Oath in Felghana from the States. PSN just doesn’t do it justice.
So…what happened to part 2?
I’m just pissed off this version has no voice acting!
